It’s Sunday! I often forget to acknowledge what day of the week it is when writing these posts, but today I remembered. Happy Sunday everyone! Today I’m going to go back to the template format that I created several months back and start with a comic.
Okay, who else thinks Christmas should die? Not permanently, but at least until next year; and I’m all for ugly sweaters being destroyed for the greater good. But, while we’re on Christmas, today is the day we celebrate Christ by entering into God’s house and offering praise to Him. Maybe it’s not to late to celebrate Christmas… If it can serve as a reminder of the great sacrifice made for us by our Lord Jesus Christ, I think Christmas should be celebrated all year round.
But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.-Acts 10:26
The power we have is not our own, it is not of us. Just being Christians doesn’t make us anything more than human, or any less human than others. We can still fall, we can still hurt. I think it’s important to show the world that we are still humans: someone they can relate to. We don’t need to distance ourselves from the world, but we do need to stand out.
How do we do that? We love, we talk differently, dress differently, look different, and act different than the world. They should see Christ in us, not us as Christ. We don’t need to make gods of ourselves, but rather we should make ourselves about God.
So look like Love today. Shine the light of Christ. Be in the world, not of it.
As always, thanks for reading.
